Danish Shaikh joined the Wellness Home of Chicago Behavioural Health in October 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and is currently completing her MA in Clinical Psychology at North Park University.
Danish's interest lies in both psychotherapy and clinical research studies. She has coordinated multiple clinical trial activities for phase 3 HIV-1 studies, managing a range of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of clinical trials. Her responsibilities have included participant recruitment and screening, overseeing the informed consent process, data collection and management, specimen collection and processing, study medication management, safety monitoring and reporting, and data entry and quality control.
In addition to her clinical research expertise, Danish specializes in providing compassionate support to individuals facing a variety of challenges, including trauma, stress, addiction, life transitions, grief, loneliness, family concerns, identity and purpose exploration, anxiety, depression, and OCD. Her extensive experience in clinical research enriches her therapeutic practice, allowing her to incorporate the latest evidence-based approaches into her work. She combines psychoanalytic therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and trauma-informed care to ensure comprehensive, tailored support for each client's unique needs.
