Embrace Program
Northstar Medical Center distinguishes itself by its history of serving the LGBTQ community for over 30 years. Our founder, Dr Daniel Berger, has served and continues to play his role as principle investigator of more than 200 HIV-related clinical trials. As such, our providers have unique experience with HIV treatment and HIV care; we incorporate advanced HIV antiviral therapy with hormonal treatments, nutritional counseling, and psychological therapy. Our HIV treatment and care center physicians are leaders in the HIV field and well-known for their comprehensive knowledge and approach to their work.
Our comprehensive Embrace Program is a menu of community-based wellness program for HIV/AIDS, Hep & PrEP Care aimed at addressing the disparity gap in the acquisition of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis Care. Our Embrace Program also provides client-level data to assist with monitoring the effectiveness of our services and progress toward national HIV/AIDS goals, including addressing disparities among communities of color.
The Embrace Program also partners with community providers, healthcare centers, educational institutions and other community-based organizations to provide onsite STI testing, HIV Care, and case management. Many healthcare organizations forego these services due to their inability to attract competent, experienced, and qualified staff, which contributes to widening the gap in health disparity. HIV/AIDS treatment, STI, PrEP and HIV Case Management services are available, as are various MedSpa treatments specially designed for this community.
Embrace Program services include:
Several of our MedSpa treatments are also specifically designed for patients dealing with the effects of HIV/AIDS, including Sculptra and other facial fillers and injections.
