APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY & FEES
The providers and staff of Wellness Home Behavioral Health pride themselves on giving each client the appropriate amount of time and individual attention necessary to address their treatment service needs. In order to provide these services for you and our other clients, it is imperative for all clients to arrive no later than 15 minutes after their scheduled appointment time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we will reschedule your appointment and you will be responsible for the $50 fee of a no-show.
If it is necessary to cancel or reschedule an appointment, a 24-hour notice is required. In the event of a sudden emergency or illness, please contact the provider immediately. Failure to notify within 24 hours or upon sudden emergency or illness will be considered a Late cancellation or No-Show for the appointment and incur a $50 fee. Therapy sessions are scheduled in advance and are a time reserved exclusively for our clients. When a session is canceled without adequate notice, we are unable to fill this time slot by offering it to another client, a client on the waiting list, or a client with a clinical emergency.
Payments for No-Show fees are required to be paid at your next appointment. Additionally, clients can pay fees at the front desk during business hours or may be paid electronically via E-bill or through a pre-established client portal. The receptionist will need to know the payment type: (i.e., cancellation fee, copay).
Please know we reserve the right to postpone services for non-payment/outstanding debts, as well as chronic re-scheduling within short notice and/or multiple subsequent appointment cancellations and no-show appointments.
Frequent cancellations (3 or more in 6 months or 3 consecutive) and/or missed appointments (no show) may impact your ability to continue services with your provider at Wellness Home Behavioral Health.
Please note that the fees described in this policy cannot be applied to clients with Medicaid insurance. Thus, clients with Medicaid insurance who have three or more late cancellations or missed sessions will be referred to other providers should there be any indication that the pattern will continue.
This policy allows for the provider’s time to be appropriately utilized for clients requiring their care and attention.
